Some fragrances belong to their time.

Others seem to have survived it.

Pegasus is a richly textured aromatic fougère built around Black Tea CO₂, Hay Absolute and the enduring elegance of fragrances from another era. It draws upon the structure of classical perfumery but reshapes it through dark tea, dried grasses, tobacco and smouldering resins.

The composition opens with the cool spice of Cardamom CO₂, the brightness of Pink Pepper CO₂ and the leathery warmth of Saffron Oleoresin. These give way to a distinctive floral heart of Violet Leaf Absolute, Turkish Rose Absolute and apricot-like Osmanthus Absolute. At its centre lies Black Tea CO₂—dry, tannic and gently spiced with facets of a fern—surrounded by Hay Absolute and Tobacco Absolute, creating the impression of steeped leaves, sun-dried grasses.

As the fragrance deepens, Haitian Vetiver, Patchouli Heart and Alaskan Cedarwood bring structure and polished dryness. Labdanum Absolute and Benzoin Siam add a resinous warmth, softened by ambered woods and musk. The result is layered and atmospheric: aromatic herbs, dark tea, worn woods and warm resins held together with understated elegance.

Rather than recreating a traditional fougère literally, Pegasus captures its memory: black tea cooling in porcelain, tobacco resting beside old leather, dry hay carried through an open window and polished woods retaining the warmth of another age.

Black Tea Fougère

A modern interpretation of the classical aromatic fougère, built around the dry, tannic character of Black Tea CO₂. Hay Absolute, Tobacco Absolute and saffron give the tea warmth and texture, while violet leaf, rose and osmanthus introduce a restrained floral luminosity. Vetiver, cedarwood, patchouli and resins create a deep, enduring foundation—balancing refinement with an unmistakable sense of timelessness often associated with these olfactory profiles.
