The Drunken Bloom is built around a bespoke Mahua Inspired Accord, an original interpretation inspired by one of South Asia's most revered blossoms. Celebrated for its nectar-rich flowers and their transformation into ceremonial spirits, the Mahua flower became the foundation for a fragrance that explores the space between floral beauty and quiet intoxication.

The composition opens with bergamot, bitter orange, Persian lime and delicate aldehydes before unfolding into an opulent heart of Iranian jasmine, Centifolia rose, linden blossom and luminous white florals. At its centre lies the Mahua Inspired Accord, evoking nectar-soaked petals, golden honey, warm pollen and the subtle aroma of blossoms beginning to ferment beneath humid evening skies. Heliotrope softens the composition with a creamy warmth, while traces of fruit and florals shimmer through the heart.

As the fragrance deepens, it reveals a richly textured base of Akigalawood, Vetiveryl Acetate, Sandalore, Guaiacwood Extra, labdanum, opoponax and wild Peru balsam. Three carefully selected oud oils — Kalakassi Oud, Bormi Oud and Trat 2019 Oud — bring layers of aged wood, soft smoke, resin and quiet depth without overpowering the floral heart. Ambrette Seed Tincture and Ambrettolide create a natural skin warmth, while saffron, castoreum and a trace of costus lend an animalic sensuality that feels instinctive rather than overt.

Rather than portraying the Mahua flower literally, The Drunken Bloom captures its mythology: flowers dripping with nectar, the air heavy with resin and humidity, precious woods slowly releasing their aroma, and the quiet intoxication of a bloom suspended between nature and ritual.

Mahua Inspired Accord

A bespoke accord created exclusively for Tree of Tuba, inspired by the legendary Mahua blossom. Built around the impression of nectar-soaked petals, wild honey, soft fermentation, warm pollen and tropical humidity, it recreates the atmosphere surrounding the flower rather than the flower itself. The result is a luminous, honeyed floral accord enriched by precious woods and aged ouds, balancing radiant beauty with an unmistakable sense of depth and mystery.
